Dandelion is a Perennial Herbaceous Plant that is Native to North America but now grows everywhere. The Plant Grows from a Tap Root that Reaches Deep into the Soil. Above Ground the Plant, Depending on where it is Growing can be as Short as 2 inches but can also Grow as Tall as 18 inches.
Dandelion Produces a Bright Yellow Flowerhead which is Comprised of Many Individual Petals from April to June. Each Stem has a Single Flower Head but a Single Plant can have Multipe Flowers on Individual Stems. The Bright Yellow Flower Ultimately turns into a Ball of Seed Heads.
The Leaves are Clustered and Grow from the Base of the Plant and are Typically Thin, Coarsely Toothed and Dark Green in Colour, Elongated in Shape and are said to Resemble a Lion's Tooth, Hence the Name.
The Hollow Flower Stems Contain a Bitter Milky Liquid if Broken.
