Common Mallow is a Large spreading Plant with Pretty  Deep Pink Flowers and has Five Open Petals that have Deep Purple Stripes that Appear from June to October.   Mallow can be Found on Roadside Verges, River Banks, along Footpaths and on Waste Ground. 



The Leaves are Roughly Round to Pentagon in Shape  and are rather Crinkly.   Mallow Leaves Alternate on a Long Stalk that Joins the Leaf.



The Seeds are known as ‘Cheeses’ Because they  are Shaped like a Wedge of Cheese.
